Hol erős a Dufour 430 GL a napi használatban?
A 13,2 méter körüli méret hosszabb fedélzeti tartózkodásnál több személyes mozgásteret biztosít, ezért a társaság kevésbé érzi zsúfoltnak a hajót. A vitorlás fedélzeti rendje kikötés előtt jól szervezhető feladatkiosztást tesz lehetővé, ezért a kötelezés és a pakolás kevésbé csúszik össze. A jól elkülönülő kabinok többnapos úton megkönnyítik az esti rutint, mert a személyes felszerelés nem a szalonban marad. Grand Case-Espérance repülőtér (SFG) felől 10–25 perc, Princess Juliana nemzetközi repülőtér (SXM) felől 35–60 perc a transzfer. Ha az átvétel időben lezárul, kedvez az idő, marad elég világosság, és a Simpson-öböli hídnyitás is illeszkedik az induláshoz, egy rövid próbaút, Grand Case, Pinel vagy Tintamarre jöhet szóba. Ha valamelyik feltétel hiányzik, célszerű a bázis közelében maradni. Egy hét alatt Saint Martin, Anguilla és St. Barth kapcsolható össze. A Leeward-szigetek felé bővített útvonalon hosszabbak a napi menetek, ezért korábban kell megkezdeni a visszaindulást; a más szigetekre történő átlépéshez a határ- és vámügyintézést is előre kell tisztázni.
